Research from an online survey with health insurers Aviva claims 48% of people in Ireland are overweight with Tipperary the tubbiest county in Ireland.
Dr.Stephen Murphy, member of Aviva’s medical council said:
“Heart disease is the number one killer in Ireland with 100,000 people dying each year from cardiovascular disease, accounting for 36% of all deaths.
Here are some of the other statistics:
59% of people in Tipperary are classified obese
25% of adults do no exercise
10,000 people die from heart disease in Ireland every year
46% of people living in Dublin are over weight with 22% not doing any exercise.
Don’t add to these stats by:
1 Get out of breath at least four times per week with 30 minutes minimum of whatever exercise you like.
2 Cut out obvious crap food and drinks
3 Drink 3 litres of water per day
4 Eat blueberries and raspberries
5 Cut out white bread, pannini’s, wraps, white rice and increase vegetable intake.
6 Cut down hugely or totally on sugar.
7 Carbs like the ones mentioned above will hold onto 3 grams of water which is why often after a heavy carb meal you feel so uncomfortable and bloated.cut them out for 3 days and see how you feel and flatter you look.
